A court in Lille, in northern France, on Monday ordered French authorities to give migrants living in Calais access to drinking water, showers and sanitary facilities. The court however did not order the creation of a camp to accommodate 400 to 600 people, despite a request from NGOs. The government said last week that a new camp would have a "magnet effect".
